These high-quality custom square beverage coasters are composed of heavyweight paper (pulpboard) and are approximately 1mm, 1.5mm or 2mm thick. They are disposable, recyclable, biodegradable, and environmentally friendly. These disposable coasters are substantially more durable as they are conventional light-weight, medium-weight, and heavy-weight thickness coasters.

Personalized Coasters FAQ

How thick is 60pt material? 60pt material is approximately 1.5mm thick, similar to a penny. 60pt pulpboard is the industry standard for bars and restaurants because it is absorbent and price friendly.

What is pulpboard? Pulpboard is the industry standard material for printing custom drink coasters. There is no other option and here’s why; the spruce pulp that is made into pulpboard comes from sustainable forests in Europe. For every tree that is removed, another tree is planted. In addition to having an environmentally sustainable resource, we know that spruce pulp is the most spongey. Bartenders do not like wet bartops, neither do bargoers. Napkins, paper prints and cardboard fall apart when they get wet, and do not absorb much moisture. Pulpboard is the only material that will soak up lots of liquids, but will also dry overnight, and look great the next day. You will get a handful of uses from each coaster.

Do you offer color matching? No. We are able to meet most color match requests, but due to the difficulty of perfectly matching a color with CMYK process, it cannot be guaranteed.

Why is shipping so expensive? Bulk coaster shipments are heavy. For example, an order of 10,000 60pt coasters would ship in four cases weighing nearly 40lbs each (160lbs total).

Can you help me with graphic design? We offer basic designs free of charge. In depth designs are $60 per concept. Tell us about your project by contacting sales@bigmediaprinting.com.

We have an event coming up, can we get coasters on time? Normal production for a coaster order is approximately three weeks, not including shipping. Rush orders are currently available on 4″ round or square, 60pt medium weight only. Rush orders can be placed by email only. Sales@bigmediaprinting.com.

How many versions can we have for our personalized drink coaster order? You may use a design for the front, another design for the back, but every coaster must be identical per order. If you have two versions, you would need to place two custom coaster orders.

Are there additional costs/fees with ordering custom coasters? We only charge for printing and shipping; there are no setup fees or design fees. Sales tax would apply if you are located in Minnesota.
