What falls under Sticky Media?

Sticky Media includes any of our adhesive-backed print products: peel-and-stick vinyl graphics, wall decals, removable adhesive vinyl, clear film, window clings, and similar sticky-backed media used for branding, decoration, or signage. Imagine really big stickers. 

How do I choose between sticky vinyl and clings?

Sticky vinyl is permanent or semi-permanent adhesive (AKA glue) and great for permanent signage or branding. Window clings are non-adhesive and adhere via static or suction; they are best for glass surfaces and temporary or seasonal use.

Is installation difficult?

Not at all. The key steps are: clean the surface to remove dust and debris, peel a small section of liner off the back, stick that top part in place, and smooth down gradually while peeling off the rest of the liner. If there’s a wrinkle, gently pull that portion off and reapply. Avoid letting sticky sides fold into each other, they are hard to separate.

On what surfaces does sticky media adhere well?

Smooth surfaces like painted drywall, glass, tile, metal, and plastics work best. Surfaces should be clean and dry. Very rough, textured or dusty surfaces may reduce adhesion or cause peeling at the edges. Difficult surfaces would be anything porous, such as brick or wood or concrete. You will need to use a hair dryer to melt/warm the material so it fills into pores better.

Can sticky media be removed cleanly?

Yes. Removable options are designed to peel off cleanly without damaging the surface or leaving sticky residue. Permanent adhesive vinyl may require heat or adhesive remover for full cleanup. We recommend always using a hair dryer to warm up the adhesive before peeling away any graphic.

How does weather affect exterior sticky media?

Outdoor adhesive vinyl can handle exposure to sun and moisture provided it is rated for outdoor use. If you aren't sure, the product description will tell you. Over time, weather can degrade adhesive strength. Using materials with UV-resistance, sealed edges, and appropriate laminates helps longevity. Humidity is the worst enemy of adhesive vinyl graphics.

What printing quality can I expect?
